USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES – TOP ON HINDUSTAN PAPER AGENDA

Towards its commitment for maintaining cleaner and greener environment, Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited (HPC) has recently installed solar powered LED lighting system in its ISO 14001:2004 EMS certified Housing Complex at Salt Lake. As a responsible and responsive Corporate Citizen, the Company had in 2009, also installed a Bio-Gas Plant and 2 nos. solar powered water heating system at the same Housing Complex.

PRODUCTIVITY WEEK CELEBRATED

Productivity Week was celebrated at CHQ and Mills during 12th – 18th February 2012. This year’s theme was Productivity and Innovation-Enablers for Emerging Economy. The week started with Oath taking at CHQ administered by Director (Operations) and Director (Marketing). Banners and posters at prominent places on the theme were displayed at CHQ, Mills and Subsidiaries. At NPM, CPM, HNL & NPPC badges highlighting the Productivity Week’s theme and messages from Managing Director & respective Chief Executives were distributed amongst the employees. Speech competition, Quiz competition, Suggestion competition, Essay competition amongst employees in the local language, Hindi & English were conducted. Seminars highlighting the theme were also organized. Prizes for the winners of various competitions were also distributed by the dignitaries.
